WaJam Youth Bow-Building

Arrowhead Ranch – Camano Island
June 27–28, 2026

Building the Memory of a Lifetime

Since 2002, volunteer bowyers from across Washington have come together with a shared mission: to help kids and families experience the outdoors through the timeless tradition of archery. With the support and sponsorship of the Traditional Bowhunters of Washington, WaJam (Washington Jamboree) has traveled to communities throughout the state—offering young people the chance to build their own longbow and discover what archery can teach about patience, craftsmanship, and focus.

This year, Arrowhead Ranch is proud to host WaJam 2026.

About the Event

WaJam welcomes boys and girls ages 8–16 to spend an unforgettable weekend learning from skilled volunteer bowyers who generously donate their time, materials, and expertise.

  • Participation is completely free for all kids.
  • All materials are provided.
  • A parent or guardian must stay for the entire weekend to share the experience—and the memories created along the way.

From shaping wood to stringing a finished bow, participants will walk away with not only a handcrafted longbow, but the confidence and pride that come from building something meaningful with their own hands.

WaJam is truly a one of a kind opportunity—one that leaves kids, parents, and bowyers alike with cherished stories and lifelong memories.
