Youth Rocket Camp - Cara Stasko - Team Leader

Launch Readiness

Cara Stasko arrived at Arrowhead Ranch Rocket Camp eager to learn, build, and explore the science behind flight. She enjoyed the experience so much that she completed the camp twice, returning with even more curiosity and confidence the second time. Across two half‑day sessions, she immersed herself in constructing her model rocket from the ground up, approaching every step like a young engineer preparing for launch.

Engineering Precision

As she progressed through the project, Cara quickly discovered how much precision matters in rocketry. She learned that measuring and placing fins correctly determines whether a rocket will fly straight or veer sideways, and she gained confidence using an altimeter to track flight performance. She also learned the role of battery power in safely launching a rocket, connecting new concepts to real‑world application with each task she completed.

Mission Leadership

Cara’s impact, however, stretched well beyond her own rocket. She naturally stepped into a leadership role, patiently guiding younger students through difficult steps and celebrating their successes along the way. Her willingness to share what she had learned created an encouraging, collaborative atmosphere that helped every student feel supported and capable.

Flight Success

Cara’s curiosity, attention to detail, and generous spirit made her Rocket Camp journey a standout success. Her blend of technical growth and mentorship perfectly reflects the mission of Arrowhead Ranch—to inspire learning, creativity, and confidence through hands‑on exploration.
