Rocket Camp is a STEAM‑based educational program where participants learn foundational concepts in aerodynamics, propulsion, and physics by building and launching model rockets. Guided by experienced instructors, youth move from design to launch while developing critical thinking, teamwork, and persistence. The program advances the Arrowhead Ranch Foundation’s mission by providing accessible, experiential learning opportunities that inspire a love of science and innovation.

Meet Kurt Grevstad - Rocket Camp Instructor
Kurt Grevstad brings decades of aerospace and STEM experience to Arrowhead Ranch. With 25+ years as an Aerospace Engineer designing commercial and military aircraft for Boeing, Northrop, and Rockwell, Kurt offers students a true inside look at real‑world flight and engineering.He also spent 12 years teaching Science, Math, and STEM in Seattle Public Schools, where he led after‑school rocketry clubs and guided students through designing and testing large model rockets.
At Rocket Camp, Kurt combines technical expertise with approachable, hands‑on teaching—helping kids understand aerodynamics, propulsion, and rocket design while launching a rocket they built themselves.
